Ingredients

How to Make Cashew Praline Puff Pastry

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 185°C.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Prepare the Pastry

  • Unroll the puff pastry and lay it flat on your work surface.
  • Spread a thick, even layer of Cashew Praline Paste over the pastry, leaving approximately 1 inch of pastry uncovered around the edges. See cashew praline paste recipe here.

3. Roll the Pastry

  • Carefully roll the pastry into a log.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the pastry into approximately 1-inch circles.

4. Arrange on the Baking Sheet

Place each pastry roll onto the parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving a little space between them to allow the pastry to expand as it bakes.

5. Prepare the Egg Wash

  • Whisk the egg together with 1 tablespoon of cold water.
  • Brush the egg wash over the tops and sides of each pastry roll.

6. Add Cinnamon & Sugar

Sprinkle each pastry lightly with cinnamon and sugar.

7. Bake

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is beautifully golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
